Did my legs yesterday, going snowboarding in 2 days..

    and they're sore as hell on my run to the gym today to do shoulders. Haven't worked out in a few weeks due to studying for finals, so I'm not surprised they're aching more than usual. :hs:

    I'm kinda concerned they'll detract me from boarding on saturday...aside from stretching, is there anything else I can do to relieve the soreness?

    I run about a mile to the gym and back, and I'm thinking about skipping tomorrow's back/bi session to give my legs extra time to recover for saturday. :hs: Is there anything else I can do in the meantime?

    youll be fine. i might skip an abs or legs session the day or 2 before an 8 hour snowboard session.

    itll be funny kuz you will smoke everyone eventually if you got with anyone who doesnt work out, even if you arent that great of a boarder


    you can always go running

    You should be fine. I board a few times a week and as long as I have 2 days between I'm good. You'll be a little sore, but it will go away once you start working up a sweat

    Take some ibuprofen and man up. Frankly, your legs are prolly gonna be on fire but oh well.

    Hopefully youll have a relaxing day on fresh groomed because riding choppy shit with DOMS is hell.

    i went snowboarding for the first time ever last saturday 2 days after hitting a PR on the stiff legged deadlift. my legs weren't too sore the day I went boarding but DOMS kicked in that night like a motherfucker, dont know if it was from the lifting or the boarding or both but got damn it was bad haha. boarding seems like an awesome cardio and general conditioning workout too...

    i think the toughest part was when I fell on my ass on the side of the slope along some ice and had to crawl/hop towards the middle where the powder was. im on craigslist and ebay shopping for a board now, any suggestions? I had to rent one last weekend...flow bindings look cool but i've heard bad things about step ins, what do u know?

    I use conventional straps because they're just so reliable, but there are a bunch of new bindings that allow you to strap in quickly without all the strap-clicking work. I haven't been keeping up with the latest snowboard gear..couldn't really help you there. I just want to hit the slopes again. :o make a thread in the main forum, and you'll get much more informative responses

    my gluts are still sore as hell from squats and presses :hs: hopefully they'll be good to go on saturday :x:

    Seriously, stretching should help, but if you have access to a foam roller, that should do the trick. I love those things.

    Also, soaking in a hot tub helps sometimes.

    Or just get some blue heat or flexall or something like that.
