Did i get ripped off

    Just got a new diamond ati hd2600 xt 512mb video card and it says the memory clock should be 1.4 ghz but on my comp it only shows 700 mhz [​IMG] could it be my computer ram is only pc 5300 (667mhz) ??

    Maybe it doesn't run at full speed when you're not using it for anything.

    Run whatever game you bought the card for, and if it runs well, then you didn't get ripped off.

    also it wouldn't let me overclock it with the catalyst driver..is it because my ram is only 667 mhz?

    700MHz x 2 = 1.4GHz
    The utility you used could be reporting actual clock speed instead of the DDR rate.

    The video card speed has nothing to do with the speed of your main memory.

    ok thanks....so my ram isnt a bottleneck?
