If I toss in an empty mag pull the charge handle back and let the bolt lock, i can't figit the selector, it will stay locked in whatever it is in

is this by design or did i fuck something?

    ps: hoss has aids

When the bolt is locked back, the bolt is still on top of the hammer. If your trigger group is tight, the hammer will be putting quite a bit of pressure on the trigger, which in turn will be putting pressure on the safety selector. It could make it difficult to move the selector.

    mother fuck

i have no fucking clue what the god damned problem could be

i might just strip it and redo the lower

i wonder if this has anything to do with issues of the first round usually not chambering correctly :o

Look inside your chamber and make sure its catching on the bolt catch, and not the magazine. If its catching on the magazine check to make sure the buffer spring is all the way on the buffer

mmm i'll have to look at that

i mean after it gets a round in there, all the subsequent ones chamber without a problem, jsut the first is a pain in the ass

i even tried replacing the buffer and spring but that didn't seem to fix the problem

    what mags are you using?

i think a lot of your problems might be attributed to your LPK. did you install it correctly? what brand is it?

:ugh: pretty sure it would have more to do with the bolt than the lpk

now that i think about it, i wonder if the lower is out of spec

i bought a steel mag and tossed it in there, when i hit the catch, the bolt slammed forward and the lip of the case hit the side of the magazine

Check to make sure your buffer is wrapped all the way around your spring, cause if you just put your buffer on the spring it doesnt work. You have to pull the spring out a little and move it up tell it touches the front of the buffer. Should fix it

would the buffer spring have any impact, yours looks a few inches longer

i also wonder if the problem with the selector is an indication of the issue - if there is that much pressure so that the selector is hard/not possible to move, i wonder if the hammer could be pushing up on the bolt so that it reduces its "pop" back in place

Take a pic of your buffer and buffer spring attached, and a pic of your trigger area in your lower (hammer cocked and uncocked)

issues with the safety selector might have resulted from improper assembly :dunno: take as detailed of pics as you can of the parts inside the lower
