While swapping a PSU to do some troubleshooting, I somehow managed to get the PCI-E connector plugged into the four pin connector on the motherboard. I was doing this blindly and hadn't realized it was the PCI-E connector. After I realized I had done that and plugged the proper connector in, all the fans and whatnot start up, but I get no POST or video.

Did I just fry my mobo?

are any of the little resistor things bulged out?

Resistor isn't the right word, but I can't think of it right now.

    Capacitor?

Probably, yes. Did you unplug it completely, let it sit, and plug it back in correctly yet?

No the capacitors aren't bulging. Yes, I did unplug everything and plug it back in properly and it still didn't work.

But then the next day I unplugged all devices and jumpers and reseat the CPU and now it's booting. Thank god.
