I have an AMD XP 1800+ and this idiot from my brothers project group disconnected the fan to the CPU while trying to remove one of the case fans for a project :slap:

My brother told me that when he found the computer running at around 190*F. Normally the computer didled at around 43ish at around 114-110*F, now it idles at around 50-52 *C, or 120-125*F. Is there anything to be worried about? Im considering putting on another layer of arctic silver, we might have put on too little to begin with

should have shut off if it reached a certian point, cpu protection would have killed power. But only way to tell is turn it on and if it works, ur fine :p

DO NOT PUT ANOTHER LAYER OF SHIT ON IT>..

you only need one half of a pea sized drop on the DIE of the CPU.

(insert witty image of a huge globule of arctic silver engulfing everything)
