I heard some old man saying it at the gas station today, just wondering if it's true.
No idea, but seeing the abbreviated name reminded me of some guy who lives in the town I grew up in, who had a Monte Carlo with Dodge Viper medallions on the hood and trunk, and "Carlo" replaced with "Python" on the nameplate.
That man was my hero.
absoluetly, sold negative three a year.
Yes but some of them are showing 2008 models and the MC isn't one of them. So maybe 07 was the last model year? I hope not I really liked them.
that is the most WORTHLESS car ever. I hope it's gone.
Yes, the car is being discontinued. The Camaro will be replacing it as Chevrolet's affordable coupe.
Monte Carlo = the ugly stepsister of the automotive world
Tri- did you ever post the TTAC editorial arguing that US companies should begin importing/building El Camino style trucklets?
That's too sad. Now I want to drive up and buy that Blue and Silver SS I saw the other day even more, maybe buy two one to drive and one to keep in the garage for 20 years or so.
^ You know its a fwd piece of shit, right?
They are nice, big, reliable, and comfortable. Plus they just happen to be great cars with awesome styling. Well except those new SS rims and spoiler that's just fugly. GM >>>>>> * True motherfucking story.
I'm not debating that gm is bad, since i am a big gm fan myself. But nowadays Monte Carlos are poor excuses for a sports car, no offense, its just my personal opinion.
It's on hiatus at the minimum, and unless it were to ever return as a RWD with a firebreathing V8 under the hood, leave it dead.
wow have you sat in one of them lately.
what a joke.
Monte's have never been sports cars.
They have always been big grand tourers. You can call it a luxury coupe or gentlemans muscle car or whatever, but you have never been able to call Monte's sports cars.
With 20/20 hind sight, it looks like GM should have brought the Monaro over here as the Monte Carlo rather than the GTO. It would have needed better styling, but that car would have served the name better than the outgoing fwd shitfest.
