We're probably going to get a shipment of P30L's in the Republic of Canuckistan in the near future and it looks like a decent pistol. Anyone here get a chance to fire one?

I've heard nothing but great things about the P30, but this is WMD so get ready for the hate.

I'd like to see a pic or two of the P30L. But yeah, I am planning to buy a P30 within the next month or so.

Lightsped, if it's not too much trouble, which store are you dealing with to get one? I might be able to get an import permit to buy a P30L from the States...

The P30 seems really nice. But HK are overpriced, even if they are fine weapons.
I just personally don't like them.

Initial impressions is that this gun fits my hand almost perfectly, almost as good as the M&P which is surprising given that this is still a "compact" pistol...

Off to the range I go :big grin:

My friend has one. I've shot it and really liked it. The recoil is nothing for a 9mm, and the sights are very spiffy.

Back from the range, went with my buddy who brought his Glock 22.

So far, this gun is very impressive, I think the trigger is very good, very similar to the USP, maybe even a bit better, I think the DA trigger is a lot better on the P30 than the USP also.

The gun felt really good, I was using the medium backstrap and side panels, gonna tinker with the small ones later to see if I can get a grip like a 1911.

I put 200 rounds of WWB down range, zero malfunctions. It did not lock back a few times after the last round but thats because the slide release is pretty fast back and easy to hit with my thumb when shooting.

When I had my USPc, the front checkering seemed to be more annoying than anything, it seems that HK has done a great job in designing this gun's ergonomics.

The gun is extremely accurate, I have not shot a handgun in about 6 months and I was able to tear some ragged holes in my first go. I did have a couple fliers but I was able to finally shake off some rust and had a nice grouping,

7 yards, off hand, Id have to say I shot about 12-15 rounds. As you can see quite a bit of them went through the big hole :big grin:

The smaller one has 3 notches for the tac rail, versus 4 for the longer one. It's not a huge difference...

I contacted Comp-Tac if they are going to make holsters for the P30...

They told me they should be getting their P30 soon, and if they are available to adjust another holster like the P2000 to the P30 they should start selling them soon after, but if they cant they have to do another mold which may take months :noes: :x:
