and wanted input, i usually don't shoot models, so i was kind of wary. She's a friend so it was a bit easier, but there was no MUA or hair, just kinda for fun. Gotta thank turbodude for all those lessons on lighting!!

First 3, off the bat, her head is clipped off. If that stupid border is covering it, get rid of it.

Also, for some reason, it doesn't look like her face is in focus, except in #4, unless my eyes are drying out.

it's very common practice to do that in cinematography. also, it's one of the basic rules for framing a subject in the foreground. there is nothing wrong with cutting the top of the head off in a photo. it's just a different style.

    Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.13918/958; U; en) Presto/2.4.15)

Then how would he have gotten the cleavage in the frame?

    This is a good set.

Only thing 'stupid' is the rule that says you cant do that. I hate that crap. I used to follow it to a T just like you and then I realized how silly that was.

Yeah, that's when I realized I was pro because I always cut of elbows, ears, sides of faces, foreheads, legs, etc since I was handed my first camera.

Great lighting. Good compositions. I haven't been here in a while, where are these tutorials on lighting by "turbodude" ?

If I have to make a C&C, I'd say that her face seem 'too processed.' It doesn't look natural.

    i like the lighting in 1 & 2.
the lighting in 4 is too warm in the foreground when you compare it to the background.
too much pp in 5. you lost a lot of detail (especially in the hair).

thanks guys, yeah i agree #5 was processed a bit much. I have a similar pose/picture i just put up, (#6) is not as heavily edited and arm is not over exposed like 5.

No tutorials from turbodude online, I just pick up things when I help/assist during a few of his shoots out here in vegas.

sorry, won't be posting full framed shots over a few people complaints about it not being "PRO".

You're not crazy, you're completely normal. There's nothing wrong with constructive crticism, but outright saying they're "intentionally horrible" is something a crazy, retard would say.
