I'll tell you what I want and maybe someone can tell me where I can go.....

    1. 200+ yards
    2. jackassery allowed (want to shoot through metal plate....go right ahead)

Ideally, a place out in the middle of nowhere would be ideal but this is Texas,
despite our plethora of land, none of it is open. :(

Basically I'm a bit bored of the ranges around here, would like to shoot longer
distances, and damnit, if I want to see what an AP round does then fuggit,
I want to put it through some scrap metal. When I was little there were
places you could go and it was just....nobody's land and you could do what
    you wanted :(

There's Gibsons Outpost. They have a 200 yd range, although it may be flooded.

Then Ive heard things about APG which is east of McKinney by 15 miles or so with a300+ yard range which just opened to the public and they have a tactical range.

But as for setting up metal targets I dont know...

None of your relatives own any land they wouldn't mind you fucking around on? Or none of your friend's relatives?

I just go out with my fiend to his uncle's ranch.

TDSA, south of Dallas off of I-45. Pretty much anything goes, open 24/7/365, members only. Main problem there is while the owner is a great guy, he is a little too ambitious. Instead of just improving what is there he is always trying to make it bigger, this leads to parts of it ending up closed for long periods of time since he does everything himself. We stopped going partly because of this and partly because it is such a long drive from where I live on the SW side of FW.

Oh and it becomes the mudhole to rule all mudholes after it rains.
