details on how to properly squat and deadlift? v.lowerbackpain

    i tried to squat and deadlift today after glimpsing over some pics and gifs of the techniques but im having lower back pains...what am i doin wrong?

    Make sure your not rounding your lower back.

    if its just a dull sore, you are probably doing it right.

    probably cuz you did em both on the same day, and your form is off maybe a smidge

    how much weight were you using?


    id personally would find someone who knows how to d/s and instruct you. i wouldnt mind paying a PT if i had to, to save my lowerback

    from my observations, most PTs know jack about squats, let alone deads ^^^

    I just started DLing and squatting about 3 weeks ago and the first two weeks my lower back felt a soreness that I've never experienced... It wasn't a sharp pain and didn't seem to hurt more or less if I bent my spine awkwardly, so I knew it wasn't a skeletal problem... Soreness is now gone, guess my lower back was too weak, the soreness didn't last long at all in my legs.

    i dont really know how to squat and dl so i was just squatting like 100 lbs :embd: and dling like 115?

    its not like sharp pain in the bones its just like a dull soreness....
    i think im doing the dls wrong

    and another question..how much should i be squatting? i was having trouble with just doing 100 lbs( i weigh 140, 5'11") i can squat press on the machine like 2 and a half plates...

    that doesn't sound like pain, you're supposed to have some dull soreness.

    try and get a small video up to demostrate form using moderate heavy weight
