How does this list look for pretty much a complete car it. I will be doing 3 cars with this batch (hopefully). A red jeep, silver mustang, and tampa blue eclipse. Did I pick the right wax that would help it give them all a nice shine? I realize that some look better with certain colors. This will also be my first time trying to detail a car in depth. :o

Btw, I found the Meguiars clay bar kit for cheaper, 9 bucks, from thetoolwarehouse shop. Would it be much of a difference than the clay magic kit? Thanks

Clay Magic is $12.95 at Auto Zone, just picked one up today :bigthumb:

Autopia's clay is supposed to be pretty decent too - http://www.autopia-carcare.com/autopia/tps-clay-f80y.html Get an empty spray bottle, fill w/ water and a few drops of car wash soap and use that as a lubricant

I liked CD-2's detailing kit when I've used it.. includes both the cleaner and the detailer in one package. Local places should have it. Simple Green also works pretty well.

I'd get Meguiars #16 Pro Paste Wax instead of S100. Very similar look but #16 is hella durable and almost as easy to use as S100. You also might want to substitute #80 Speed Glaze for #82 Swirl Free. #80 starts off a bit more aggressive but breaks down more quickly so you don't have to work it quite as long. Lots of polishing oils too.

I'm gonna check pep boys tomorrow, and possibly autozone.

Btw, I am planning on doing this process for about 3 cars. Do you suggest getting a buffer to save time?

    By using a buffer, I'm talking about a $25 one like this: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/dotcoms/colpowbufcar.html :)

[edit]Searching owns. Nevermind, I answered my own question. I'll try it out myself, but not really expect too much. :o
