This weekend I Detailed my sisters 2006 525i this car has the sport/premium/cold weather packages.

    IT wasn't too bad.

she's hand washed it and waxed it since she bought it new in dec 2005. (I've taught her well!) since she picked it up she's never had the dealer touch it!

IT had some LIGHT dealer installed swirl marks on the hood/trunk/c pillars.

    The color is Monaco blue:

I LOVE THIS CAR..i don't care what anyone says about bangle's styling the looks of this car have really grown on me..its just so well sculpted and put together...its got a very brawny/muscular look.....

and even though its a smaller 3.0 liter (starting in 2006) its still got 215hp and a very flat torque curve available from a low rpm so it will get up and go. all in all its a fun car to drive and is a great highway cruiser!

anyways on to the pics! :)

    the Process:

    1) Wash with Meguiars GC Shampoo
    2) Clay while washing
    3) Optimum Compound with orange light cutting pad on hood/trunk/cpilliar with PC starting at 1500-2500 rpm.
    4) Optimum Polish with white polishing pad all over the car at 2000 rpm on the PC
    5) Optimum Spray Wax
    6) Meguiars Endurance Tire Gel on the tires

Sorry for whoring ALL THE PICS....:big grin:

Also, I didn't clean the fenderwells she's going to do that later this weekend when she washes the car. (she drove back 2 hrs yesterday to sacramento so she'll have to wash it on the weekend!)

    Really nice work! :)

One thing though, your sister ought to shit-can the dealer license plate frame unless they are sending her a check every month for advertising for them. ;)

No pressure washing of external seams and seals, mirrors, gas flap, key holes, sunroof seals? No bug/tar/sap removal from front bumper/grill/rocker panels/rear bumper? Removal of waterspots from windows? Steel wool on chrome tailpipes? Door jambs and trunk jambs?

It looks nice and swirl free, but this forum is, after all, about sweating the details.
