This was #2 of the day. Owned by one of my best friend's girl friend. With only 3k on the odo, a clump of red clay fell off a truck and hit the hood. This plus the usual dealer installed swirls, needed to be removed. This one received the same process as today's Tacoma so I'll keep it simple on the write up. Once again, exterior only.

    Wheels, Wells, Tires:
    Wheel Brightener 6:1
    ZEP Degreaser 4:1
    Hyper Dressing 4:1

    Wash Cycle:
Panels treated with ZEP degreaser 10:1
Hyper Wash 2oz. per 2.5 gallons

    Paint Correction:
    Damage on hood wetsanded
    #105 via rotary/LC White PAD
#82 via G110 to refine finish
#105 via G110/ LC orange pad for the rest of the vehicle

    Paint Protection:
NXT2.0 via G110/LC Red LSP pad

Nice work as always Justin. One question; its my understanding that 105 is for some serious correction work, why did you use a white polishing pad? I was under the assumption that you would use at least an orange or even stepping up to a wool or foamed purple wool pad. Also, will 105 finish out LSP ready or damn close?

I always go with the least aggressive combo and seeing what 105 did with the PC (G100), I used a white pad with the rotary to remove the wetsanding marks. 105 is aggressive but pad dependent.

With the G110 or PC and an orange pad, 105 comes ok close enough to LSP ready for me and my clients.

    Thanks Paulie.

How much did you charge for the Tacoma and this for doing just the exterior?

125.00 a piece is what I charged. I was there 3 hours on the Tacoma and 2.5 on the Scion. I was tipped 10.00 a piece extra though.

I have already got an appt. with a coworker of the Scion's owner. Full detail on a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-10. This will be my first one of these bad boys!!!
