When I flip on the main switch in the back there are flickers of light from the fans and they spin for a moment, but when I press the actual power button nothing happens. Can someone help me out with this?

I'm a total noob so sorry if I don't understand something right off the bat.

Well after reading the tiny words on the motherboard I realized the power switch wire wasn't plugged in. But now it says disk boot failure?...this is going to be a big clusterfuck.

Did it run before or is this a new build? I would guess that your hard drive may be bad or not hooked in correctly or doesn't have anything to boot from on it.

Ya I was trying to reformat it and it said it couldn't format the partition. How do I make sure the hard drive is connected correctly?

And it did run before but crashed and kept telling me that a file was corrupted hence the reason for trying to format it.

it says it's inspecting the hardware config, then goes to a blue screen that says windows set up and it loading a bunch of drivers.

Now it's asking if I want to set up xp, repair it, or quit. I just want to reinstall it and start fresh.

after that you approve the license and then it will say searching for previous installations

if it still sees an xp installation you can try to repair it if you want, if not select L or whatever it is to install xp
