At my work we use Extensis Suitcase on the PC and Mac. The program is beyond horrible on both systems. Adobe Type Manager doesn't have some of the neat features Suitcase has (font previews, repairs, auto-activation) so that's out.

I've read about FontAgent and it really seems to be the solution. Has anyone used it or know someone who has it? Any other recommendations other than OSX's Font Book? I have several thousand fonts I don't all need activated at once.

    suitcase + suitcase server.

seems most of the "suitcase" issues i run across tend to actually be issues with the font files themselves.

brockton, mass, eh? you don't by chance work for a "major educational publsihing company" down the road in a town that starts with "W", do you?
