im gonna guess you prob shouldn't be getting punched for a little while after you get them out. they're gonna suture the holes up and i think your dentist will tell you to take it easy. that said, i wrestled a day after i had mine out but thats diff than boxing/fighting.

Yeah I might give it a raincheck until I see the dentist and see how I recover.

If they are coming in straight and not impacted recovery should be quick. Load up on Vit C post op at 2-3g/day. IF they are impacted, healing will take a bit longer

No thanks man. I was back in the gym like 5 days after I got mine out, but it was light lifting, not getting punched. 2 weeks would be borderline as far as my health was concerned, but I guess ask your oral surgeon and go with what he says.

your health is more important than a fight. give yourself proper time to heal so you can continue training. why would you want to fight if you can't train properly?

I doubt it would be a problem, but everyone heals differently
Hard to say without more information

I was 3 days for my wisdom teeth, but I was 13 at the time so everything was easy to do. 2 weeks MIGHT be fine, but I've also seen people that were pretty fucked up after 2 weeks still. If I was in your position I wouldn't risk it, especially since personally I've had so much work done on my fucking teeth that I don't want to fuck any of it up.

I can smile when its raining.
When you get your shit removed, there are big gaps where they were removed. This fills with blood clots. If they are disrupted, commonly by eating, but definietly if you are being punched, they go away. The bone where your tooth was starts to get severely inflamed.

I've heard women who have given birth say that it was some of the worst pain they've ever had. I've never had one but Its supposedly some intense pain.

That sounds fucking nasty. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out (~16 or 17 maybe) it got infected despite proper care and cleaning. The gums at the back were swollen to the point i couldn't close my jaw. Had to go get that shit drained and was on antibiotics.

Doesn't sound like dry socket, but if it's worse than what I had I'd almost rather be randleman.

You had an infection in soft tissue, not a dry socket
Dry socket is sometimes horrible, sometimes not all that bad
I've seen lots of people that have it and just say "it doesn't feel right, it kinda hurts"... so you throw some alveogel in there and it takes care of itself. The majority of people that get it don't go through hell, as long as they get it addressed.
