Well I guess I could say OT got to me, as I purchased my first pair of denim over $40 ever yesterday. I can't remember the style offhand, Levi Premium low-rise bootcut would be my best guess of the style. I'm used to wearing American Eagle and Lucky, but these are FUCKING AWESOME to wear, feel so great.:bowdown:

Oh yeah, and I never used to call it denim.

So anyway, my question: I've always made small vertical cuts on the bottom of my jeans so they would fit over my shoes a bit better (one on each side, about an inch long). Before I start cutting up $130 jeans, I'd like to get they Style croo's opinion on this... :hsd:

    Yay or Nay?

I'm guessing no, but I'd like to see some opinions.

welcome to the dark side :)
now your other jeans will never be the same. Definately don't cut the jeans in any way. Get them hemmed if the fit is a tad long. Don't worry about them not fitting over your shoes, if your shoes look weird because the jeans dont fit over them, it's not the jeans fault, it's the shoes... if ya know what i mean

what kind of shoes are you wearing with them? obviously, if its a bootcut, its going to look a little weird with certain types of shoes

i personally hate bootcut now that i've moved to straight jeans, the flair kills the ability to wear certain shoes and makes my legs look odd.

depends on your build though, i'm skinny so thats just me.

I would say get some boots if you want to wear bootcut.

    definately not those clogs.

    I love those things though!

Like I said, I usually wear straight, so I guess I need to look around for shoes that will go well with bootcut. There is no fucking way I'm wearing actual boots though.

Expensive denim is great. The fit and finish is much better than the garden variety jeans out there. Pretty soon your closet will be full of them

I can't find them anywhere online, but they are Levis Premium Skinners, low rise bootcut.

And thanks for the advice, that's simple and easy to remember. :bigthumb:

he actually was looking for alternatives to slitting (which he found and hopefully wont be slitting anymore) but I agree if he did slit them he should off himself.
