people are going to come in here and say they only deload when they feel its time to deload

or if their program tells them to

6 weeks would be way too often for me. I shoot for ~6 months or as soon I start to sputter.

Everyone's different and it depends on your training intensity/volume vs. nutrition vs. sleep vs. overall recovery capacity vs. stress levels, etc.

I need a de-load every 8 weeks or so personally. But I take loads like it's nobody's business.

I find that if I take even a week off, I get weaker in all my exercises. Is this normal?

Personally I come back ready to put the fucking house up which is part of the reason I do it so often. Maybe your not doing enough volume as is.

I dont really. If I feel like ass on any given day I just lift less weight. I don't believe in programmed 'deloads'. What if your body is still fresh and ready to go when the 'deload' week comes up?

It'd be too often for me. It's almost like I get depressed when I'm not working out.:o

I haven't taken a full week off in probably like 3 years lololol. I just don't see the need. I don't feel "run down" for more than day here or there.
