I was given a XPS 1730 as a replacement for a Inspiron. The unit has SLI, which is pretty cool, but if SLI is enabled you can't use dual screens.

From what I understand there is no way to use dual screens and SLI (as the 1730 has no D/Dock)

If I keep SLI disabled so I can run 2 screens all the time. Does the 2nd card do anything? I'm curious if each screen would get their own Video Card.

he asked 2 questions (even though his first question had a . instead of a ? at the end). you answered "yes," but weren't clear if you were saying "Yes, disabling SLI lets you run 2 screens all the time" or "Yes, the 2nd card does something" or even "Yes, each screen would get their own Video Card." it is possible though that you meant yes to all 3 questions/statements.

So, your answer was a bit ambiguous which lead MadEmperor to ask for clarification at which point you acted like an asshole.

Just wanted to clarify where things went awry.
