What's the big difference between these 2 screens? The only thing I can see is the Ultrasharp has S-Video/Composite Connectors, while the E series one doesn't. Brightness, contrast, dot pitch, refresh, resolution, all the same. The E series does mention that it's HDCP compliant, while the Ultrasharp doesn't mention this. I'm looking to move my 2405FPW over on my desk and use it for TV and a second screen and use one of these as the main screen.

Is that the only 2 differences? Other than the price difference...

The E model uses a cheap TN panel (poor color and viewing angle). The Ultrasharp uses either an IPS or PVA panel. The IPS is preferred because it has the best color reproduction and viewing angles, but you have no choice in which panel type you get.

If it's a shitty panel, I don't want it then. It has to be at least as good as my 2405.

    Thanks for the info.

The Ultrasharp is also height adjustable.
