I just purchased a Dell notebook for about $740 tax included, with free shipping. I'm not really sure if this was a good deal, or if I should return it and wait for something better... can anyone tell me if this was a good deal and how much I can get something like it for elsewhere? TIA!!

hard to beat Dell prices, but easy to beat dell performance/reliability/quality.

All depends on how much you want to spend.
