Seriously guys it is getting out of hand, I can understand if you post your website and want to protect yourself

but to delete it because it was answered is bullshit, we are losing some great info because you delete shit and then people go looking for it again and can't find it, if it is answered and does not have your website in it, then don't delete it, leave it so others can learn from it and find it

and there is no reason to delete a simple thread that asks questions and gets answered and has no links to anybody's site in it

you don't know how many pms I have gotten asking where a thread went because someone was using to answer their question and the threadstarter deleted and the reason was because question was answered

just because maybe you never search, users do search before asking and it is easier to use older threads to answer questions than create a new one and get hated on

I Agree, hmm I wonder if we could archive those threads or make this forum not be able to thread threads.

I always thought there needed to be a time limit on how long they are able to delete it, you have like 3 to 5 minutes after threads is made to edit the title, it should be like that for deleting

I don't get why people should be able to delete their threads in the first place. OT is the only forum I know that allows that. You can always edit your post if you fucked up or want to edit out your site name or a link you posted, but the only time a thread should be delete is if it's spam or out of line, in which case a mod can do it :dunno:

Deleting threads (especially in this subforum) goes totally against the whole premise of a forum, to share and archive information for later.

He might have to upgrade to 3.7 or 3.8 to upgrade to 4, I can't remember

    lol @ planned release

aka I install the new version or get somebody to do some graphics... then everybody will suck my dick due to features that every other vbulletin board has had for over 2 years

vbulletin future.. idk.. I'm not sold on IPB .. not a huge fan of phpbb or mybb either, but I don't know if I'd buy vbulletin out right again
