My temp internet files folder has grown to 2GB and some 41k files. I don't think I've ever cleared the folder before in the 2+ years i've had this computer, and with broadband, I don't think I have a need for it.

However, when I go to Tools>Internet Options and try to delete the files from there, IE locks.

What can I do to delete these files?

change the setting to 1 MB if you have a broadband connection.

then tell it delete the files. after you press the button, walk away from your computer for 5 or 10 minutes.

once that's done, download firefox. :)

I've been there before. To get around it, go to a command prompt and delete the files from there.

It's locking up because it's deleting the files - it's fine. Just let it run, even if it takes 30 minutes.
