I remember when I had iTunes on my pc, if I deleted a song it asked me if I would like to send it to my recycle bin as well. Since I switched over to a mac, I have noticed that I don't have this option, when I delete a song in iTunes it only removes it from my library and doesn't give me the option to send it to the trash. I have looked through all of the preferences and haven't found anything, does anyone know how I can get this feature? Thanks.

Mine asks me to send it to the trash. Do you have yours set so that itunes copies the music into its own directory? If not, that might be why it does not offer to delete it for you.

Mine asks me...are you deleting from a playlist or from your main library?

That's probably because your files aren't in your main library.
