I am reading through a buyers guide and after a listing it says "DA Only"

    what does that mean?

Double Action, i.e. a gun that cannot be manually cocked.

Because of the trigger pull..Its usually takes more weight. Some people dont like Sigs because of the DAO/SA setup. Its hard for some to transition between the two.

it's DAO, but it's striker fired, so i'd be interested in seeing how strong the trigger pull really is. i like the feel and the reputation of other CZ's, but i've never had the chance to fire one. i wonder if their polymer framed pistols are as good.

from the cz forums it looks like everyone hates the trigger, but they have a few tips/tricks on how to make it better that seem simple enough.

    besides that, they love it

Just a side point, if you intend on using this gun for home defense or CCW, don't modify it in any way (as in modifying the trigger pull, etc.) Stuff like that makes you look bad in front of a jury :hs:

good advice, and yeah, I don't plan on it, I would think for CCW it wouldn't be such a bad thing for the trigger not to be super easy to pull

i agree. if you are not confident that you cannot keep from firing the pistol accidentally, then do not carry it, as you are a danger to yourself and those around you. you shouldn't be cocky, but you should be confident in your ability to perform in a self defense situation, otherwise you have failed in planning and preparation, and will thus fail in all situations involving that for which you have failed to plan and prepare.

lick the shaft, fuckass. show me one single case where anyone has been prosecuted for using +P ammo or a modified trigger. gunsmithing is no new thing, and if having a trigger that is smooth and crisp helps you make quicker, more accurate shots, you owe it to yourself and others to find a trigger like that, or to have a smith make it so. shit-triggers cause shitshots. shitheads like PT might like that, but it's a crock of shit. as for +P or +P+ ammo, we've been through this: there are rounds available in both SAAMI specs and above that perform well as defense ammo. if you pick one that is hotter, like a +P, you do not endanger anyone any more than if you used a non +P. if you miss, both will penetrate like mad, depending on the backstop. if you hit center mass with an effective round, neither should overpenetrate. however, if you go to a non +P round at the expense of terminal ballistic performance, you are shortchanging yourself and others in whose defense you might use your pistol.

but hell, you can use any sort of illogic you want, i don't give a shit. i'm done arguing about it. if you want to use slower ammo, go ahead. it doesn't affect me, so i'm not going to get all up in a tizzy over it.
