    Hey guys.

What's your defense against leg locks?

Most of the time when i find myself in this situation, my first reaction is to pry open his locked legs and go straight for the mount. However, as you know, he still has my leg so he can still sweep me or yank me back down into the leg lock. I try to sprawl out at times but still find myself out of position and vulnerable to more attacks.

    Any ideas? :hsd:

I generally try not to give him my legs. I take a "prevent over defend" mind set on it.

Mostly people get a hold of my ankles when I'm going after theirs.

It depends on the position. If you're not flat on the ground you can get up and step out. What I usually do is really flex my calf, while rolling with the submition, and also kick/push their butt off with my other leg.
