COMIC Deepest Anime?

Discussion in 'Entertainment' started by iNcReDible fRoGG, Aug 11, 2004.

  1. What's some deep anime that you've seen? I guess the deepest I've is Cowboy Bebop. God, I love that anime...

rhaxephon made me think a bit and ghost in the shell stand alone complex is great also (much deeper than the movie actually)

read the manga, the movie is only about 1/5 of the manga and rewritten to fit into 160 minutes. still a master piece of art and animation.

just so you can see how different the movie is, when Kaneda and the clown leader are playing chicken on the highway. spoilertetsuo is supposed to be the leader of the clowns and riding jokers bike, and Kei while a minor character in the movie, ends up being the main character of the
manga, hell tetsuo is even succesful in bringing back egoless/idless akira

its up for download on www.boxtorrents.com btw

Anyone check out Full Metal Panic ? The first season was pretty deep the second season is fuckin hilarious! i.e Main character accidently brings in bio chemical weapon. They quarantine the class room and grief over themselves. Later on they find out that there is an antidote but only enough for one person. They draw straws and it turns out the main character who brought in the bio-chem weapons get the antidote. All hell breaks lose and they leave the class and infect the school. Turns out the bio-chem weapon only affects non organic material... So in the end all the students lose all their clothing and they have some mighty interesting shots of the girls without clothes on hahahaah.

Cliff notes : Full metal panic fumoffu = teh funny

You can go a lot deeper than any of the ones mentioned. I recommend, Serial Experiments: lain, Boogiepop Phantom, Texhnolyse, or Gantz.

    I never understood that anime.

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien was pretty deep. Got annoying after the 6th episode though.
