I've watched season 2, 3, and half of 4 so far, and this is a really great show. I liked it when it first started but I lost track of the story pretty early and never got back into it until now.

I love the long continuing story arcs much better than the isolated episodes from the original and Next Generation. The character development is superb, and you just can't beat all-out war with the dominion.

The only unknown for me is Enterprise. I haven't seen even a single episode, so I don't know how good it is. But as a huge fan of ST and ST:NG, I have to say that DS9 is better.

You all suck just like DS9 and Voyager.

TNG>TOS>ENT> The others might as well not have existed.

You guys are on crack. I've been watching TNG on spike the last couple weeks, and it is really weak compared to DS9. In the first few seasons, there were like 3 rotten episodes to every good one. The writing and acting in DS9 are WAY better.

I personally thought DS9 was the best out of all the series. I really like epic war type stuff though (Dominion war).

Just started season 6. I hated how DS9 started so slow in the first season, but season 3 on is pure gold

I just want to say that alternate universe Kira and alternate universe Ezri = :naughty:

They're way hotter than their normal counterparts.

I agree. I thought DS9 made a great series. You knew the shit got series when Sisco turned into Hawk. I kept waiting for him to pull out a big ass chromed phaser. :eek3: I also thought STNG was pretty cool. I found the original series a little too campy. I hated Voyager, it put me to sleep. Never got into Enterprise.

:werd: The only thing missing was the shades.

I'm actually starting to really dislike TNG. I've been watching it on Spike every day, and at least through the 3rd season, it's basically shit with a few great episodes scattered here and there. This is the first time I've watched it since I got really into DS9 though, so that has something to do with it.

As my brother put it, TNG was like a 2nd draft in English 101, but DS9 is what you turn in as your final project for a 400 level class. :mamoru: DS9 is just more polished and better written.

I agree with you there Joe_Cool, there was sooooooo much potential for Voyager.

I'll never forgive them for dumbing down the Borg. :hs:

Not having seen enterprise, I almost agree with you.

    DS9 > TOS > TNG > VOY

Original Star Trek was great. You can't knock it.

And yes, I know I'm contradicting my own thread title. It's just that after watching DS9, then watching the first 3 seasons of Next Generation again, I've realized how really bad much of that show was. :hs:

Deep Space Nine is the best, followed By TNG(Watching season 1 now) then Enterprise followed by Voyager.

Have to agree, it was when they brought in the dominon that the show started to really take on a more intresting view on things. I also liked how that through the second season they built up the reputation of the dominon then at the end they finally meet the foe.

The Defaint was one mean motherfucker. I would also like to see a Trek movie with Capt. Sisco as the main actor.

but they "killed" him in the last episode. I have a dumb question in the episode where we first are introduced to the Jem Hadar and Vorta, the Vorta have physic abilities but I never see it in any other episode. Any one got an explanation?

Really? What episode did they kill him in?

The writers probably didn't have a full understanding of where they were going with the Vorta. In the first episode of TNG, Deanna Troy and Cmdr. Riker run into each other on the bridge and she uses telepathy to talk to him. That was the only episode where I saw her use telepathy with anyone outside of her race.

He didn't die. The prophets grabbed him bodily out of the fire caves, and they told him (and he told kassidy) that he was going to return in a year or so.

Sisko was badass when he got angry. Definately the most pissed off Trek "captain" out there (well, he commanded a space station, so no idea what to call him). I've started rewatching the series as I started to watch it when I was like 8 so I didn't really understand much.:coolugh:Anyone know what season the defiant comes into play?

Defiant was the 3rd or 4th season, I think.
