Is there a consumer grade software that works like Deep Freeze?

consumer grade (more like consumer price)... or open source or anything of the like....

    anything would be nice.

I'd really like to be able to boot my machine at home with the same settings everytime.

Its not quite the same. Deep Freeze will just delete and restore all the previous settings including files you have put on the system.

If i set polices I probably won't even be able to write to my disk.

The way I want it is for me to use the hell out of my PC place files anywhere... but the next time I boot, I don't my files there anymore.

im well aware of what deep freeze it. he was talking about system settings, so locking it down would be the easist. having to deal with DF when you want to uninstall/install software can be teadious. You also have to save ur data to another drive, if he doesnt have that setup now.
