Alright, i got some good news today, my college will store a rifle for me as well as ammo in the security wing. the thing is what rifle do i want to buy. I was going to buy one this summer but thought better of it considering that i wouldn't be able to use it 8 months out of the year. well, that is no longer a concern.

    -modded 10/22
    -custom AR
    -Savage 110
    -Remington 700

I was also thinking savage model 12 low profile varminter

this will be target use only, i don't hunt, so all it will see is range time

10/22 is cheap to shoot. I know how it feels to have a gun addiction and in college :hs: So many things I want to buy but so little money to do it with.

10/22. It's the only one I wouldn't give a shit if someone else fingerfucked.

10/22. fun to shoot when you get the itch. Not a pain to replace if someone steals it/messes with it. Cheap.

Of course, I'd get an AK and scare the crap out of everyone, personally.

22 will be nice and cheap to feed if your going to be on a budget. Otherwise I'de say AR or 110 but as already mentioned I'de be worried about someone fucking with it.

10/22 because like everyone else said, it's cheap fun. You can also Mod the hell out of it and get sub MOA and impress all the girls...I mean mallninja's.

If you want something with more power, I say get a bolt action. I'm partial to 700's in .308. THere are pleanty of bolt action calibers that won't break the bank when it comes to ammo. You don't take a bolt action to go plinking anyway. You take less shots and make them count.

10/22. College = no extra money (not much atleast) At 2 cents a round you cant go wrong. Plus you can get 50 round magazines for them

I'd get the AK if it was me. You'd probably be better off with a 10/22, though. The other option I'd consider is a nice bolt action in .308.

my guess is that you should get a small plinker like the ruger. try not to scare the assholes that work in the school too much or else youll have fbi/atf knocking at your dorm room door while youre balls deep in a bitch

I was reading about a guy who got put in jail for a year because he did that. I think he was in Cali, though, so the assault weapons ban thing could have been part of the problem.

I really have a hard on for a precision target rifle, but yeah, i never thought about ammo costs, I need to go see how much a brick of .22 costs down here.

You should be able to get 500rnds for under $10 at most stores.
