For ~30 more bucks you can get an E6750 that would kick it's ass.

    1. That motherboard you selected is $170. You could get a cheaper intel based board.

    2. In fact you could get the E6750 + P35 for less money than your current build. Ditch the AMD.

    3. I'd go with Corsair memory.. this is probably cheaper than what you picked.

    4. A 700 watt PSU is a bit overkill for an 8800GT.

the 6750 combo and mobo will cost at least 80+ more. is it worth it for ~10morefps? the amd wasnt too far behind on all the tests ive seen

nm ended up being ~40 more for the intel combo.
700w overkill? what kind of wattage would you pick that will run the 8800gt and maybe the next gen of video cards?

you need to look at the amps more so then the watts, my 450w corsair will run more than a lot of cheaper 700w psu

Are you having trouble what you wrote? You didn't pick anything. You said if he went with the 6750 instead of the AMD he would have to spend more on the motherboard. The motherboard he selected is $175. So no, you're wrong. He wouldn't have to spend more for a decent Intel board to match with the E6750.

Here's your post for the reading impaired...
