I'm looking for something I can use to import video from VHS and coaxial as a bonus. I have some old family tapes my parents want put to DVD and I'd like to make my Mac a PVR as a bonus.

    - Would have to capture at TV resolution (720x480)
    - Allow me to use other programs to capture video
    - Outputting the video would be a bonus.

Anything in the sub $150 range?

you asked about something, and iMovie is a something. Go to someplace like fry's, you can probally pick a video capture device in the sub 100 range.

Nowhere did I ask about software, I'm aware iMovie can import video.

There is hardware that only imports at certain limitations. I'm asking if anyone uses anything that met the requirements I stated and if it was any good.
