Looking for a decent, cheap widescreen LCD. I have no brand affiliation...just looking for something to use with my laptop since it remains pretty stationary. Nothing too big or fancy...19-23" with no bells or whistles is fine. Any suggestions?

I just recently got a 22" widescreen Viewsonic VX2235WM from circuit city for ~$260. The picture and performance are both good, though I liked my old VP190b better.

Good...I'll order it then. It will go well with my Dell Inspiron E1505. :bigthumb:

go for it. people that buy dells fulfill the prophesy of needing my repair services later on, anyway. Shit, you could say Dell keeps me in business. I'll preach on and on about how shitty they are (people don't listen) and then they bring it to me and admit they were wrong. It's amazing.

    :mb:

If only I had a dollar for every time I had to call your precious IBM tech support for one of their subpar monitors taking a shit at my place of employment. Hell...we had to replace at least 2 monitors a week.

The fact of the matter is, in my 6 years of owning Dell products, I have yet to have any of them fail on me. Having owned both IBM/Thinkpad and Dell products, I can say that both perform equally well...with the exception of the huge ass premium you pay with the IBM product. That said, your opinion on Dell (and subsequent incessant sackriding of Lenovo) is purely subjective.

since when did subjective mean "after careful analysis of facts". No, I'm pretty sure that would be objective.

I've got one on my backup computer, so it doesn't get much use, but
    the image/color quality is terrific.

19" WS is really a weird looking monitor. It's kinda small actually. Short. If you want cheap and decent, Walmart (of all places carries) the HP w2007 in some of their super centers. It's a 20" widescreen for around $250. I have one that I use as a TV monitor in my office, and it's not a bad panel.
