Need to buy one for my trip to Japan in 2 weeks. Not sure if it's cheaper over there but looking for one with good auto mode, that won't blur or stuff up in ordinary light conditions. It should provide good candid shots at night (clubs/bars) and general sightseeing photography, even under low light conditions. Also looking for one that's fast from off to on mode and pressing the button to taking the shot, with good quick focus.

    Budget around 200-300usd

Was considering taking my brother's Pentax Optio T10, but it sucks for even taking pics of my bedroom. Also the menu sucks where it doesn't even display the photo after taking the shot.

you could probably pick up a used g6 for that price... or spend an extra 100-150 and grab a new G9, or a S5IS (both canon btw)
