So I have some javascript that I've been working on that makes changes to a page dynamically. Using the 'View Source' option of a browser on a dynamically loaded page will show you the source BEFORE any changes were made.

Is there any tool that any of you know of that will show you the source in REAL-TIME? Firebug doesn't do it, or it atleast it appears not to.. now that I think of it it'd be a super useful tool (and would be worth making if it doesn't exist).

    Example:

    I load a page with 2 DIVs.

My javascript creates a third DIV.

View Source shows only the first 2 DIVs.

view source won't show anything you create by manipulating the dom....only what was originally return to the browser when it requested the resource.

so if you are using firefox i recomend the web developer addon which has a view source and a view generated source which shows the source of the dom at any given time.

Right click in Firefox -> View Selection Source.

Gives you the "DOM Source of Selection".
