i have a Glock 23 (first pistol)
my CCW is in the mail.
what should i do with the money?
send it to me
get a rifle, or take a pistol class.
You going to shoot your new gun or what? Buy some ammo, and take a class. Get some practice in!
the G23 has around 400 rounds through it. the gun safety instructor told me i had great grouping.
i was just wondering if i should go the AR route, or maybe night sights... or a subcompact...
I read that your first pistol was in the mail. My bad.
Night sites are always a good upgrade. I took my Glock out a couple nights ago (no night sites) and couldn't see shit. Standard sights are pretty worthless if it's too dark.
You're only like 65% of the way to an AR with $500. More range time is always good, real training is really good, saving your money is often the best
I'm in a similar situation, I got $600 in Xmas money and gift cards to the gun store. I'm debating between a Glock 21, Kimber Warrior, or building/buying and AR.
saving money? pfffffff.
i always seem to find money for the range, so that's not an issue.
i've also been offered $450 for the G23. i paid ~$500 for it at a gun show a month or two back... should i sell that as well and then have $950 for an AR or a nicer pistol?
i hearthose USP's look sweet coming out of the water on SOCOM
edit: ninja grammar!
well if you buy an AR its important to note the cost of ammunition will increase significantly. I think you should look for a USP that you can afford with 500$
Does your range have some kind of badass set up where you can come out of the water and fire your pistol?
[broken record]Take some formal training.[/broken record]
Keep the Glock (I have a G23 as well).... training, ammo, look into IPSC or IDPA events in the area, more ammo.
Now we're talking...
i live in VA and blackwater is only a few hours from me... the tactical pistol I training week would be tight, but way too much money all at once AND missing work.
just start with intro to pistols and work my way up?
Ammo and good leather. A good holster is worth a million bucks. I am about to order a sparks for my glock.
i've got a blackhawk serpa II for open carry, and thinking about an MTAC for concealed. what is a sparks?
It is supposed to be one of the best IWB holsters made. Milt sparks is known for their quality and workmanship.
What other guns do you have? Do you hunt, plink, or just shoot pistol?
G23 is my first and only gun. No hunting, just range/home protection/soon to have CCW.
i keep looking at subcompacts for something a little easier to conceal. recently i've been hearing a lot of good things about the M&P S&W line.
