    Dear Canon,

In your next upgrade of the XXD bodies, please get rid of that fucking useless onboard flash and replace it with a huge, bright, and easy to clean viewfinder.

It's rediculious that a 20 year old Olympus OM-2's viewfinder is superior in every way to your modern cameras. Fuck that flash, (I already gave you hundreds of dollars for a 580EX II) give me a bigger viewfinder!

    The End.

Seriously though, after shooting with my OM-2 I fucking hate the viewfinder on my 40D! That thing is fucking tiny compaired to the OM-2! Seriously, who has ever used and been happy with the onboard flash on their prosumer body? It's pointless! Use that space for a nicer viewfinder.

A viewfinder that is easy to clean of all the damn dust specs that seems to work their way into the pentaprism too would be nice. Have 3 fucking spots in my viewfinder that I can't get out and it's annoying!

    Anyone else feel me?

but without the flash people will blow $1000 on a 60d and complain that their photos indoors at night are dark blurry and that their $100 point and shoot is so much better.

The VF is smaller because the sensor is smaller.
The OM-2 had a larger VF because it was setup for MF.

I dont just use my camera for photographically technically correct pictures. I also use it for snapshots while out and about or things around the house. The on board flash is ideal for me for this.

Besides, the ability to see blown out areas flash on screen as well as the histogram, i dont really look at what is actually captured on that little screen anyway

In other news. The grip on the 50D >>>>>>>>>> 40D

I can actually put my pinky finger on the grip with the 50D. About 10 minutes of shooting with the 40D and I get tired of having nowhere to put my finger. :madfawk:

    Dear MSIguy.

We did. Several years ago. We call it a "5D".

    Sincerely,

    Canon

ps. You may also want to check out our line of cameras called the 1D series.

If a 5D had the FPS I want then I'd be all over it, same if there was a 1D my broke ass could afford now... lol

I know the 5D VF rocks, but I've never got to play around with a 1 series.

Do you shoot strictly sports? If not, then why do you need more than 4 fps?

Wow the 1DIII VF is really that much larger than the 5D?MKII? I'm surprised.

After shooting with a D700 for 1.5 weeks I hate the VF on the 40D. A larger VF (aside from larger sensor sizes) really does help me take better pictures.)

Couldn't stand the DX sized vf on the D200.
