Nikon 55-200 VR, brand new. It came with my Buddies D40x from Costco.

He just ordered the 70-300VR and will sell me the 55-200 for $200.

Keep in mind, I am in Alaska so I am looking at about $20-30 shipping from anywhere I could order it.

Takes sick pictarz ~ I hand shot the moon last night and it came out clear, I came.

I have the finger poised over the 'buy' button at Amazon for the Nikon 1.7x TC as whale if I decide to get the lens.

It took some pretty nice pictures for me :dunno:

Thanks for the informative post too. Since you bestowed your opinion, care to elaborate why it is 'garbage'?

Or are you just swinging your elitist cock around...Because, yeah, there are better lenses out there. But, this lens, for $200 is the question.

    My Elitist Cock is

    and, you shoot Nikon. :mamoru:

    but in all seriousness,

I had that lens a while ago and I hated it. It feels like cheap plastic, doesnt focus fast, tracks, doesnt have a fixed apature, has CA and isnt worth the money. You'd be better off spending the extra cash finding a 80-200 2.8.

imo too expensive for a 55-200vr, you're better off saving up for an all around lens like 18-200vr

$200 for the 55-200 VR is a great price...i'd click that buy button and stay away from the TC.
