Deadlift question

    but are dl's supposed to make your lower back sore?

    They should make your entire body sore, but if you back is in pain you are doing something wrong. If its a dull "damn I lifted heavy ache" then you are fine, but if it hurts to move then id take it easy for a few days.

    today was horrible, maxing on deadlift, leg presses, and hypers

    i had to stop and sit on two of the benches in the entrance hall :o

    It's not a dumb question at all. It depends on how wide your stance is. If you stand with your feet really far apart, you'll feel it more in your hamstrings and glutes. If you stand with your feet at approx shoulder width apart, you'll feel it more in your lower back.
