375x4 tonight. The 4th rep was harder because I was losing grip, almost slipped out of my hands, so I decided against the 5th rep. I still feel like I can do more weight, however, my hands just can't hold it :(

lol, if only it were that easy :hs:

I'm going to start grip training I guess. I bookmarked that link you posted a couple of weeks back.

I used to use straps for DL'ing, but I stopped using those also.

inverted grip, switch in between sets.

edit - the overhand grip is where i always slip, underhand is no problem

I'm probably going to dl next week but really don't want to because i'm making 15-20 lb PR's each week on my squat and I figure I might as well keep going... :dunno:

use chalk, and work on more singles. It's the multi reps that get my grip, i don't think i've ever really had an issue with 1 rep grip, and certainly not below 400 lbs. Good to hear you're pullin some good weight though, feels good.

good job that's some weight. Ya the straps are now hindering your grip and progress.

i always have used them, but one day I threw them aside, convincing myself that they were only going to hinder my progress.

i pulled 315, barely a few weeks back.

today i pulled 315 too fast and my left hand just about let go at the top.

my gym gives us no chalk, so i went and stole a bag from the rock wall climbers. they :squint:'d me and i went back to my bar.

chalked up, put 315 up like nothing. put on 20lb more and put up 335 with a lil bit of strain. took off the 20lb and did 315 again. my grip never failed me with chalk.

    fuck i love chalk.

i don't think our gym will let us use chalk, have never asked, but im sure they won't, most of the time they don't even let you do deadlifts :ugh:

i'm ppretty sure ours frowns on it too (it's a university gym). that's why i had to go to the rock climbing wall and steal theirs and sneak it over to the power rack.
