    187lb, 5'7. been deadlifting for a good 4 months.

havent maxed out for 3 weeks and i started christophers routine last week, but last night, i just felt like squatting/deadlifting and forget the bench. i aimed for 405lb x1, but i did 3 reps of that and felt i could do more (thanks to someone who got me motivated at the gym). so now, im at 425lb:wavey:

im hoping to see my numbers increase while on this routine.

and my question: since i skipped out on bench and db incline presses, should i just replace friday's incline bench with flat bench (5x5) instead?

    :werd:

do you use straps at all? I'm considering it, since my grip fails before my legs/back every single time i dl :o

  6. do double pronated grip until you fail

then do mixed grip until you fail

then do straps until you fail

yes because not deadlifting as much as you can simply because your grip is not as developed is a good choice :ugh2:

How does that relate to my post? I didn't say you shouldn't deadlift as much as you can, the shame is in the fact your grip isn't developed enough to hold 340 :greddy:
