I'll do my best to explain this machine (don't know what it's called) but I was wondering if this is any worse than doing normal deadlifts. The machine has slightly angled backwards (with ankles lower than toes) foot areas with two handles about two feet across. Next to each hand, you place the weights. When you pull up, it's like pulling the weight off the ground back into you. Anyway, does this make sense at all?

I've used that machine before and my ROM was limited. You can't really lock out properly

    ....?

just deadlift normally, i think i've seen people using that thing in my gym. although i think the guy was like.. standing with the weight, then shrugging it as well as pulling up with arms so i didn't connect it as a deadlift type machine.

Why would you want to use a DL machine? The only point to most machines is you don't need a spotter and I have yet to see someone need a spot on DL.
