Deadlift alternative

I screwed up my back doing deadlifts once and was wondering if there is a suitable alternative to them?

I have watched the vids and seen the tutorials on doing them but I still don't feel comfortable with form or how I am lifting. The LAST thing I want to do is mess my back up again. I have asked the "trainers" at my gym to help with form and even offered to pay for a session but all they want to do is show me why I shouldn't do them. Granted these guys could possibly pass for broly crew and one dude is jacked like Bateman (no bullshit).

So....alternatives? Do they exist? Suggestions? Anyone wanna meet me at my gym and show me?

Do them light until you strengthen your back until the point that you feel confident lifting like a man.

    find a gym/trainer with balls

do light deads for a while till you learn the form, it's not like you are competing or anything, no need to go heavy

I've also found it helps maintain the spinal alignment if you pull the tampon out

I don't understand what you want us to tell you.
If you're afraid to do em light, then don't do them.

Really no substitute for a deadlift...either do them light and work back up slowly, or just hammer your back without them, like in the stickied BB routine

    Fuck you.

Try doing some pullthroughs if you don't want to do light deadlifts. They're a goo assistance exercise that hit your lower back and hams pretty good. You'll look gay as fuck doing them so it will come natural.

I asked for an alternative. If there isn't one then there isn't one. Simple question, simple answer. How hard is that to understand?

which muscle are you trying to strengthen or is it for hypertrophy?

Working them into my back routine. So hypertrophy. I'm pretty sure I have form issues but seem to be lacking in available one-on-one help.

Lifting light won't correct bad form.

oh wow another reminder of how worthess F&N can be sometimes :ugh:

if he injured his back and wants an alternative to DL then that's his call. leave it to F&N for someone to come in asking a simple question and then a bunch of guys that probably couldn't even lift the amount of shit they talk to bash the guy.

you don't need to do deadlifts. Do different variations of rows, pullups/pulldowns. For posterior chain you can do gms, pullthroughs, back raise, reverse hyper, etc...
