Doing my first playthrough of this game and holy fuck this is the most intense survival horror deal I've ever played.

The atmosphere alone keeps me on edge and tense while I'm just walking through empty corridors, nevermind when shit jumps out at you...which is 100 times worse than normal because the atmosphere in the game has me on edge.

Loving it so far though. Other than the wii game, is there any plans for a sequel? Does anyone know? No spoilers please? :x:

going through first time as well. Pretty intense when you got headphones on and your inches away from the monitor.

Dead Space is incredible. Fuck the anime though. It's garbage and doesn't even stay true to the story. Download the animated comics instead. They're fucking badass.

And yeah, they're supposedly working on a sequel, but it looks like right now they're wasting their resources on that god awful wii rail shooter prequel.

Dude, you haven't played deadspace till you've played it on a 165" projection screen with 7.1 surround sound at 1am with all the lights off alone... and then have your cat jump on your lap and nearly piss your self :bowrofl: Anyway it and resident evil 5 are the only games I've gotten my platinum trophies for and I'm sure you're starting to see why haha

They all don't come like that? Well I preordered mine so I have those on there but still. It would make more sense to just have one version of the game IMO but then again maybe not

You'll eventually run into a workbench and you upgrade your weapons and suit at these stations with those power nodes.

depends what mode you're playing on. it's kinda difficult on the easier modes but damn near impossible on the harder modes. you should only try curb stomping enemies that are either stunned from the force gun or another thing that knocked them down or enemies that have been extremely disabled.

edit: really punching and stomping are an absolute last resort. Usually if you're close enough to melee enemies they just jump on you for some decent damage but on top of that, Isaac tends to handle very poorly when fighting, taking huge, slow swings.

I didn't either until half way through my impossible play through. Shit made the game a cake walk. It's basically a shotgun with the added bonus of always knocking down your enemy and grenades you can shoot at them while they're down.

If you back yourself into a corner or against a wall where they can't get to you, it makes you pretty much unstoppable because ammo for it is pretty plentiful, cheap, and you get a decent sized clip.
