I was going heavy today on deads and on the way down, the bar hits the top of my knees and it kinda fucks up the whole motion. I get bruses on the tops of my knees from it. I'm standing sumo and I was reppin 395. Can anybody give me some pointers on this please?

Stiff leg it when you put it down, then reset and go.

Keep your hands on the bar but almost throw it down, don't do a negative.

do NOT stiff leg it as you bring the bar down. keep your knees bent as much as you can to get the bar to drop without scrubbing against your thighs. drop your hips with it

he's right, this is the proper way to do it so you don't set off the noise sensor and have the 24 hour fitness people boot your ass out.
