I was reading Justin Harris's log and he uses DC training. If I remember correctly Pur ws not a fan, is this of DC (the dude) or the program....holla back homie.

I'm not pur, but I made good gains strength wise, and ate my fucking ass of so I gained a few lbs too. But, it is VERY tough on the joints and there's no way my body can tolerate training that way year round. I find that I personally do better with a bit more volume.

Rest pause and consistently adding weight to the bar. You only train 3 days a week with one week having 2 upper body workouts and 1 lower body workout and the following week having 2 lower body workouts and 1 upper body workout. You also have 3 different variations of upper and lower body workouts so you don't get bored doing the same exercises every time you're in the gym.

The majority of exercises are performed with a few warm up sets followed by 1 rest pause set composed of 3 smaller sets. For something like incline smith bench you would do 1 rest pause set with a goal of 11-15 reps. The first mini set you might get 7 reps, then 4, then 3. Since you're on the high end of the rep range, you would add weight to the bar the next workout. Rest pause isn't done for quad or back thickness exercises due to safety issues.

He also promotes extreme stretching, carb cutoffs, a shitload of food, cardio to combat fat gain, etc. I've been reading about it for awhile and just started it yesterday.

The "extreme stretching" is really EQIs, there's a chapter in CT's Modern Trends book about them.

extreme stretching is a good way to end your career...DC training is great if your justin harris and on more drugs then cvs. Dont think for a minute a kid that strong and that huge is on light doses. Hes on pro level gh/slin/igf1/roids. Anyone around here can do it sure but i dont believe you will be any better off then a typical volume type routine. Other then you may get stronger in some areas but i guarantee you will get more injured and overtrained as well.

Justin harris is an elite BB'er and Pl'er and chemist/nutrionist. He has more knowledge in his pinky then DC, he just says his name to be a good friend lol. Justin has nothing but my respect but im not gonna sugar coat his drug use. Hes 260 on stage with a 2200-2300 total in pl'ing as well

He could do ballet and 5x5 football program and still win the jr's

ps....yes i have done extreme stretching like an ass clown...i ended up with a sweet injury in my breast plate and rotator cuff, back when i was younger so n old age jokes are applicable cockflutes...

And this is only my opinion which really means nothing

i think its useful because it makes people try to add weight. there are far too many people on this board that do not actively try to get stronger, and it hugely hinders their progress.
