i prefer BB curls... or preacher BB curls.

There worth doing, but do them closer to the end of your workout. They shouldnt be one of your core exercises unless your trying to tone imo.

i'd throw in a set at the end of my workout every now and then. but i've heard some people say you're better off not doing them and just sticking to compound movements with other exercises

People just like to tell you stuff.

There not one of the strength program exercises, but its not hurting you isolating muscles.

my right arm was overcompensating on bb curls, so i switched to db. but with all the pulling on back exercises it's become pretty superficial.

I haven't done curls often in a long long time because after doing pullups or rows my biceps are pretty gone. but I've noticed they are severely lacking compared to the rest of my arm.
