    The concept or how it turned out? I wanted to have my face more focused in the center, and a light blur to either side, but it is hard to get right.

    Thats kinda cool, I got some shots like that from my dads gig one night. (he has a band)

    i do those pics a lot..
    here's a fun hint..if you wanna make a spooky pic...stay absolutely still, and just have your eyes blink open and closed slowly, and open your mouth and close it slowly

    i did exactly the same thing when i got my camera and found out i can adjust shutter speed :)

    If you are talking about the picture in the first post: approximately 8 seconds (might have been as long as 13, I was changing them around - too lazy to check exif). Key for daytime is to use highest aperture possible.
