little backstory first, so bear with me. we took our daughter to branson this weekend for the showstoppers world championship dance competition. she danced the first time on sunday and did a great job. good enough she was one of the 10 that were invited back the next night to compete for the miss petite showstopper title. the title competition included a modeling event and a short introduction speech. here's a few i snapped of her modeling and speech.
1 - this is my favorite i took all weekend

after the modeling, she re-did her dance and she slipped and fell right in the middle of her dance. it nearly broke my heart, but i was so proud she jumped right back up and kept going. :hsd:

5 - more of a snapshot, but its her with all of the 10 finalists. she's 4 competing in a age group of 4-8 year olds. she's the really short one. :o

6 - playing in the pool during a break.

the branson, mo convention center has some awesome places to do some portraits, unfortunately both we and it were too busy to get a good session in.
7 - direct flash sucks, but when you have 2 minutes to setup and about 5 seconds to snap it before other people walk through :dunno:

8 - really wish i would've had a lightstand and umbrella here. flash cam right in the flash foot that comes with the flash.

all in all, i'm really a proud daddy with a very talented daughter.

She looks like a miniature Mrs. Robinson in the last one.

For the first one, I suggest cropping from the light to behind the elbow.

    The rest, tighter crops.
