Haha. That's what I'd be doing if I found a guy with my Dad's name to date :).

I was thinking about this the other day actually. I don't think I could do it. I've never been in a position to have to really weigh the pros and cons, but the thought of dating someone with the same name as my mother is pretty much a deal breaker.

I am just asking if it is, I've heard people say that they wont date someone with their mom/sister or dad/brother's name. Awkward in sexual situations? I don't know.

I typically try to avoid dating women like my mother. So having the same name is a huge turn off. Thankfully, I don't think I've ever known a woman with her name so it's not something I've ever had to deal with. I suppose if it was a more common name it might not be as big of a deal.

I would do it and have done it. I dated a guy for about a month that had the same name as my older brother. I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

Yeah. I don't see it being a problem. :dunno:

Funny enough though I've never met anyone with the same names as my brothers, even though their names aren't that uncommon. Would be kinda funny to date someone with the same name

My brother and ex husband have the same name, but I called my brother by a nickname since he was little so that's the name I associate with him. The only problem we ran into was when the two of them were in the same room because they would both answer to the same name so I would use "honey" or "sweetie" for my ex.

My mom's name is Chris (Christina technically but she's always gone by Chris), I've dated two guys named Chris.

My brothers are Matt and Josh, both common... I've dated guys with both of those names.

Not weird, I don't see the big deal.
